The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it truly is alarmed regarding the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly more info because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area daily. The support point made for intervention experiences a superior influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing here of all customers and enhance entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
